FACE COVERINGS

Students in K4 and K5 are not required to wear face coverings at school. However, the school board continues to strongly recommend they wear them whenever possible in order to assist with reducing the spread of COVID-19

Elementary students in grades 1-6 will have to wear face coverings when moving around school buildings and while on school buses. Students in grades 5 and 6 are also required to wear their face coverings in the classroom.

DAYCARE

With the new directives for elementary schools, the LBPSB administration is asking that students from Grades 1-6 wear face coverings while in daycare effective January 11th.

COVID- 19 SYMPTOMS AND OTHER PRECAUTIONS

The LBPSB Administration would like to take this opportunity to remind you that your child must remain at home if they are displaying any COVID-19 symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat). As well, any student who has gotten tested for COVID-19 but is still awaiting results should not return to school until their case is resolved. Should your child test positive for COVID-19, we ask that you inform your principal immediately so that classmates in their bubble and their respective families can be advised. Finally, anyone who has traveled outside of Canada during the recent holiday break is required to isolate for a period of 14 days upon their return. Therefore, if your child will be absent from school please contact your principal.
